The JEW CREW takes off!
There's a new scene in town called The Jew Crew, and these are just a few of the recent gatherings from this burgeoning new social network:
--A dinner party in a chic new urban high rise, and a balcony battle over a pinata.
--Hawaiian Luau in a beautiful home, tiki lights, al fresco dining on a warm summer night, and more meeting, mingling, and making new Jewish friends.
--Cocktails on the Roof, jazz music, a sunset view of downtown OKC, and a crowd of young Jewish adults networking with newcomers and new friends.
--Sushi made by a master chef and fun, laughter, new friends, and a soggy Sukkah.
The buzz has spread over the last few months, and the new group, called The Jew Crew, continues to attract more and more young, Jewish professionals at each monthly event. The Crew is now on Facebook and Twitter, and this dynamic mix of affiliated and non-affiliated Jewish adults--singles, young families, interfaith couples, and OKC newcomers--continues to offer friendship without pressure, support without strings, and a connection to the wider world of Jewish life.
The OKC Jewish Federation is the umbrella organization that plays a supportive role for the Jew Crew's core committee as they define who they are and what kind of programming and opportunities they want and need to connect with and nuture their Jewish identities.
