People of the Book Club

Portrait of a Spy, The Paris Architect, The Human Stain: these are some of the books we have read lately. At the Federation’s People of the Book Club, we read and discuss a variety of books both fiction and non-fiction, both American and Israeli authors, mostly current Jewish books. What is a Jewish book?  One that pertains to the Jewish experience. Our discussions have taken us to ancient Israel with “The Dove Keepers”, Renaissance Spain with “The Mezzuzah in the Madonna’s Foot”, Egypt, America and much more.

People of the Book meet on the second Thursday of each month at the Jewish Federation office—10:15 for greet and schmooze; discussion promptly at 10:30. If you have read a good Jewish book lately, we welcome suggestions and even better, we would love to have you join our group.
