The Schusterman Center is hosting the 2022 Western Jewish Studies Association Conference, March 27-28.

We are pleased and very excited to host the first major conference of its kind in Oklahoma, and all of you are invited.

The conference is in a hybrid format, guests can attend either in-person or via Zoom.

There will be 25 panels, featuring paper topics ranging from Maimonides to Blazing Saddles and beyond, presented by scholars from around the world...including our own faculty and graduate students (see the attached program).

The keynote and plenary lunch talks will be delivered by Schusterman Center associated faculty members Dr. Andrew Porwancher and Dr. Jill Hicks-Keeton.

Guest registration is free. Visit https://www.ou.edu/cas/judaicstudies/wjsa-at-ou for registration links and other conference information.

If you wish to attend in person, register in haste...seating for the keynote and plenary lunch is limited. The deadline for in-person registration is March 10, the deadline for virtual registration is March 24.

We are very grateful to the many sponsors who have helped us achieve this milestone for the Center, including the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Humanities*, the History Department along with other partners at the University of Oklahoma, and of course Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies.
