The Upside of The Downside
with Rabbi Steve Leder
Monday, November 16
7:00 p.m. CST
The Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City are pleased to bring Rabbi Steve Leder back to our community, virtually, to discuss The Upside of the Downside.
There have been many challenges in 2020 that have brought much sadness, stress and anxiety. While it can be very easy to get lost in the sad moments or the anxiety and stress of it all, Rabbi Steve Leder will talk to us about how we should take time to focus on the opportunities provided for happiness, relaxation and gratitude.
Rabbi Leder is the Senior Rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles, CA and is the author of More Beautiful Than Before: How Suffering Transforms Us, which examines the many ways we can transform physical, psychological and emotional pain into a more meaningful life. He is a regular contributor and guest on The Today Show, writes regularly for TIME, Foxnews.com, Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, contributed a chapter to Charles Barkley’s book Who’s Afraid of a Large Black Man?, and has published essays in Town and Country, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today and the Los Angeles Jewish Journal.
Rabbi Leder sent us a special video about his upcoming virtual "visit" to Oklahoma City. Please be sure to view the video here.
