The Jewish Federation recognized the increasing need of senior care services for seniors in our Jewish community over the last several years. In June of 2019, the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City started a new Senior Care program. The goal of this program is to provide services, resources and social activities to the seniors in our Jewish community. Since the inception of this program we have reached over 380 seniors through our services we provide.
Services offered include:
In addition to these services we provide Chai On Life programming for our seniors, including study opportunities, field trips and other social gatherings. See below for Chai On Life upcoming programs.
If you or someone you know is in need of any of the services listed above please contact Margo Nechtow by either email or by calling 405-286-1781.
This work can not been done without the help of our amazing volunteers. Thank you for all that you do. If you are interested in volunteering for any of the above services, please click here to fill out this short form to sign up.
Since the pandemic began the Jewish Federation has been following the guidance and advice of health experts in determining when and how we should or should not hold in-person programs. We have a responsibility to ensure we do not create any situation which could further the transmission of COVID-19.
As a result of the high transmission rate of the Delta variant, we have determined that we are cancelling upcoming programs for Chai on Life. We will reconvene once it is safe to do so.
Be safe and healthy.
