Supporting the Jewish Federation

Your investment in the Jewish Federation has a huge impact on so many people, it:

  • Helps Jews in need living in the United States, in Israel and around the world. Part of the Jewish Federation's annual campaign helps meet overseas needs through the Jewish Agency For Israel and Joint Distribution Committee. These dollars also help strengthen Israel, fund basic needs for indigent Jews, and assist struggling Jewish communities in more than 60 countries around the world.
  • Supports Jewish and non-Jewish children attending our summer day camp, Camp Chaverim.
  • Supports community educational opportunities through Torah Study, People of the Book Club, community-wide holiday celebrations and commemorations, as well as many other programs developed in partnership with community organizations.
  • Helps send Oklahoma City Jewish teens for a trip of a lifetime to Israel.
  • Supports PJ Library in Oklahoma City, bringing together young Jewish families for fun story readings and craft projects centered around Jewish holidays and values.
  • Brings together and engages the next generation of Jewish leaders through Young Jewish Adults (YJA).

There is no other single gift you can give anywhere that will have the same impact as giving through the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City. Each gift is greatly appreciated and makes a difference.

Arevim zeh b’zeh, all Jews are responsible for one another, when we work together we can have a remarkable positive impact on our community, in Israel and around the world.

Thank you for supporting the Jewish Federation!

The Pomegranate Society

Plant for the Future

Women who give an individual or family gift of $1,800 to $4,999

The pomegranate has been a meaningful symbol in Jewish life since biblical times. The Midrash tells us that the pomegranate has 613 seeds, which correspond with the number of mitzvot or commandments found in the Torah. Pomegranate members nurture, sustain, and plant seeds for the future of our community. A beautiful silver Pomegranate pin is available for purchase for donors at this level.

The cost of the pin is $150 plus shipping, and rubies can be added for the “seeds.” The first ruby is $61. Each year donors who sustain or add to their gift will qualify for an additional ruby for $34. (Prices may vary slightly from year to year and the cost of the pin is covered by Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City.) Each year, donors at this level are celebrated at a special appreciation event.

Lion of Judah

Commit to Community

The Lion of Judah is the nationally-recognized symbol for a woman’s gift of $5,000 or more to the Oklahoma City Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign.

The Lion of Judah is a symbol of today’s Jewish woman’s strength, her caring about the Jewish people, and her financial commitment to the Oklahoma City Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign. Judah, one of the sons of our patriarch Jacob, was known for taking care of his brothers, symbolizing our need for Jews to take care of one another. Lions of Judah are a global sisterhood of 17,500 women!

A striking gold pin is available for purchase at a cost of around $1,000 + shipping. (The cost varies with the price of gold and the cost of the pin is covered by Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City.) Each year a woman sustains or increases her gift, she is eligible to have a small diamond set into the pin.

The Lion of Judah Society has nine giving levels. As a woman reaches a new level with an individual or family gift, she may add a new gemstone to her pin:

• Diamond–$5,000
• Ruby–$10,000
• Sapphire–$18,000 Emerald–$25,000
• Amethyst Diamond–$36,000
• Canary Diamond–$50,000
• Cognac Diamond–$75,000
• White Gold with Black Diamond–$100,000
• White Gold Diamond Pavé–$250,000

Each year, donors at this level are celebrated at a special appreciation event. Lions are invited to the exclusive International Lion of Judah Conference, which is held every other year.

Thank you for investing in the important work of the Jewish Federation. We appreciate your help in supporting our work in the Jewish community, community at large, in Israel and around the world.
